Physical Education and School Sports Premium Funding

Gilmorton Chandler has a long standing tradition for sporting success across a range of sports including football, netball, cricket, swimming, athletics, rounders and cross country.

All pupils participate in at least two hours quality PE curriculum provision per week (please see our curriculum plans). In addition, a number of enrichment clubs are held throughout the academic year. During the autumn and spring terms we run cross country, football, netball, tag rugby, basketball and multi-skills clubs. In the summer term, we host cricket, athletics, basketball, multi-skills and rounders clubs. We also host a variety of other PE and sports enrichment clubs at different times during the academic year to attract wider participation for example archery, yoga, tri-golf and street dance. Additionally, all pupils in Key stage 2 participate in the daily mile.

For the academic year 2020/21, Gilmorton Chandler will receive £17,800 of additional funding to be spent on sport and PE provision.
