Inspection Reports and Performance Data

From time to time, schools undergo an inspection from Ofsted. During this inspection they asses how the school is performing in regards to how we are meeting the children’s needs.

Ofsted no longer hold our last inspection report on their website. They do however hold a letter notifying the public that we have converted to an academy and the previous inspection was carried out prior to this conversion which can be found here. We have placed a copy of our May 2009 report here.

As a church academy school, we have an additional inspection which is carried out by a SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican & Methodist Schools) team. Their June 2014 report can be found here.

The following are some highlights from our latest SIAMS Inspection Report:

‘ There is a strong presence of the school’s Christian community, reaching out to include and involve others in the learning environment…

The values and beliefs based on ‘the fruits of the Spirit’ are known and understood by all members of the school and lived out daily in their lives both at school and at home…

Behaviour is excellent with parents recognising good manners…

The school recognises the value and uniqueness of each child, providing a safe and welcoming place for each individual…

The headteacher, staff and governors explicitly promote the distinct Christian vision of the school. The headteacher is well supported by the local incumbent who plays an active role in the life of the school and local community. School self-evaluation is based on robust systems of school improvement. ‘
